Can I upgrade or downgrade my Findmypast subscription?

It’s easy to upgrade or downgrade your current subscription: 

  1. When signed in, select 'Change subscription' within 'My Subscription’ 
  2. You will be taken to a page where you'll see the available options for changing your subscription
  3. Select your new subscription type and duration. If you’re upgrading, proceed to payment and complete your transaction. If you’re downgrading, this will take effect on your next renewal date and the change will be shown within ‘My subscription’

If you’ve purchased your subscription via our iOS mobile app, you can cancel it through your device settings

Important points to remember: 

  • You can’t upgrade from a 12-month top-level membership
  • For upgrades to our Everything subscription, a minimum price of £14.99 is in place if the remaining pro-rated value of your previous subscription falls below this price
  • When you upgrade or downgrade, there is no need to cancel your current subscription
  • Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect on the renewal date of your current subscription
  • To downgrade a 12-month top-level membership, or if you have any questions about changing subscriptions, please contact customer support
